Ulrich Jaschke was a man who went missing on April 19, 2020 from Dinslaken, Germany. He was found dead in a wooded area on December 29, 2020.
Case[]
Ulrich met with a friend on April 19, 2020 for a long Sunday walk. The two of them were about two hours on the road until the friend said goodbye to Ulrich at his front door. Ulrich then got straight into his VW bus and drove away. Where to, the friend did not know.
On April 29th the green VW bus was found about 50 kilometers away in Winnekendonk. A survey of the local residents there showed that they saw a man unloading a bicycle from the VW bus. They claim to have recognized Ulrich from photos. Then there was another sighting, which probably involved Ulrich: near Hertefeld Castle, another 10 kilometers away.
Recent developments[]
On December 29, 2020, a walker found a body in a forest in Wemb, a few kilometers after Hertefeld Castle. The autopsy revealed that it was Ulrich. Investigators ruled out foul play, but he had been dead for some time when found.
