Tyarra Cacique Williams was a young adult who went missing from Greensboro, North Carolina on January 7, 2016
Case[]
Tyarra Williams was a college student living with her grandmother in Greensboro, North Carolina. On January 7, 2016, Tyarra and her brother visited their mom around 6 pm. Her mother claims that Tyarra was completely fine that night. Later, her boyfriend, Aaron, arrived and then he, Tyarra, and her brother left to go to Tyarra's grandmother's house for dinner. After dinner, the four were siting around the living room relaxing. Suddenly, Tyarra got up and said she had to go meet her friend named Travis, and that she would be back in about one hour. She never returned. Her family attempted to call her many times, but her phone went right to voicemail. "Travis" was believed to be a cover for her ex-boyfriend, and this was proven to be true. The ex-boyfriend, (name not released to the public) admitted that Tyarra was with him that night. He claims that they talked in his car for half an hour then she got out and began to walk back to her grandmothers apartment.
A few days later, police received an anonymous tip that Tyarra's body was located in a trailer lot across the street from the grandmothers home. Cadaver dogs were brought, but nothing turned up. In April of 2016, Tyarra's mom received a Facebook message from a waitress at a waffle house in Jesup, Georgia (about 400 miles from Greensboro). The woman told her that she had a regular customer that she believed was Tyarra. The waitress said that this woman came in many times per week with a group of people, but always appeared uncomfortable. Tyarra's grandfather, Darrell, went down to Jesup to scope out the waffle house and its other nearby locations for days, but this group of people strangely never showed up again. Darrell began to put of flyers of Tyarra and go to nearby hotels asking if anyone had seen her. One hotel managers recognized Tyarra, and said that he saw her in a group of girls with a pimp. Police went into the hotel and arrested the pimp, but when they went to find Tyarra, she was no longer in the group of girls. Tyarra is believed to have been sold into another human trafficking ring, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.
