Clark Toshiro Handa, who went by his middle name, was a boy who was abducted from his bedroom in 1984.

Case[]

On the evening of August 23, 1984, an intruder entered the Handa residence and abducted Toshiro from his bedroom while he was asleep. A ransom note was left, demanding $25,000. Toshiro was an unusual target for a ransom abduction, as his family was not wealthy. Nevertheless, Toshiro's family complied, but the intruder never showed up at the specified location.

A friend of the Handa family, Michael Anthony Blas Fejarang, was charged with Toshiro's kidnapping and murder in April 2016. He was incarcerated on unrelated child molestation charges at the time. Fejarang pleaded no contest to first-degree murder in August 2017. The kidnapping charge was dropped as part of the plea deal and he was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

Investigators believe that Fejarang, along with two accomplices, abducted Toshiro while under the influence of drugs and took him to Vacaville, California where they murdered him. The group then buried the child in an unmarked grave in the outskirts of Vacaville, although Fejarang claims to not remember the exact location. Fejarang's two accomplices have not been publicly identified, but one is deceased and one has not been located.
