Todd Eugene Collett was a toddler who vanished in 1964.

Case[]

Todd was last seen in Goleta, California on January 23, 1964. That day Todd, his twin brother Travis and his friend Greg where playing outside at the corners of Hollister Road and Turnpike Road. There where shopping centres being constructed in the area at the time which the boys knew they weren't allowed to enter. However, Todd and Grey began making their way towards the dirt embankments anyway. Approximately 20 minutes later Todd's mother saw Travis across the street. She took him home and asked were Todd was. One of the boys then told her something about bulldozers and a fire. Greg also indicated that he may have gone over the Turnpike Overpass. Todd hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Neighbours reported seeing a suspicious man in the area around the same time Todd vanished. This man had a black beard, pale skin and green eyes. He wore a navy blue blazer with the insignia "New Zealand" on the front. He spoke English well but with an accent. According to some witnesses they saw the man asking their children for directions to the new houses. At the time, Todd's neighbourhood was surrounded by newly constructed houses. The women who's children he had been speaking to pointed him in the direction Todd was last seen in. She was so disturbed by the man she decided to take her children inside. However, it wasn't until she heard of Todd's disappearances that she became truly concerned by this encounter.

Scent tracking dogs indicated that Todd had travelled through the neighborhood, around the railroad tracks and over the Turnpike Overpass. That day demolition fires burned for four hours at the construction site. The ashes at the construction site along with all septic tanks and wells in the area where searched but nothing was found. Foul play is suspected in his case.
