Scott Curtis Fandel was a teenager who is presumed to have been abducted with his sister Amy on September 5, 1978. His latest age progression depicts him at 51.

Case[]

Amy and Scott had been at a bar and restaurant with their mother and aunt that evening until approximately 10:00 p.m. when their mother and aunt dropped them at their cabin and went back to the bar. Their cabin was in a wooded area and the front door's lock didn't work.

Scott and Amy went to their next-door neighbor's home to play with their children, who they were friends with. They then left to go back to their cabin. At approximately 11:45 p.m., a neighbor passing by saw the lights on in the Fandel's cabin.

When Amy and Scott's mother and aunt returned home between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. they noticed the lights were off. This was unusual as Amy and Scott were afraid of the dark and would keep the lights on.

When they went into the kitchen, they noticed an open can of tomatoes and a package of macaroni. It seemed like Scott was interrupted while in the kitchen as he liked to eat macaroni snacks before bed. They weren't concerned as they assumed Scott and Amy were at their neighbor's house.

Amy and Scott's mother left home for work at approximately 8:30 a.m. that morning and their aunt woke up at around noon and assumed Scott and Amy had already left for school. Amy and Scott's mother called Amy's school for her but they told her Amy never arrived at school. She became worried for her children, but her boss would not allow her to leave work.

When the neighbor's children came home from school, they went to Amy and Scott's cabin to ask their aunt where they were. When she found out they didn't sleep over at the neighbor's house or attend school, she called their mother, who called the police.

Upon a search of the house, bullet casings were found outside. It's unknown if these are related to Scott and Amy's disappearance.

After the children's disappearance, their mother moved to Illinois, where Scott's biological father lived. Both children's uncle believes that Amy's father is responsible for their disappearances. Nine months prior the the children's disappearances, he left them and their mother behind and moved to Arizona.

Amy and Scott's mother tried to contact him when they disappeared, but couldn't. When contacted relatives of his, they said they didn't know where the children were. Amy's father later took a plane to Alaska to help search for the children.

The children's uncle believes that Amy is still alive and living in Montana, Alaska, or California and that Scott was murdered shortly after the children's abduction. There's no evidence to support these claims or any other claims.
