Sarah Spiers was a young woman who went missing from Perth, Western Australia in 1996.
Case[]
Sarah left Club Bayview in Claremont, Western Australia, on 27 January 1996 at around 2:00 a.m. She called for a taxi at 2:06 a.m. from a public phone booth to be taken to Mosman Park, a nearby suburb. However, she was not at the site when the taxi responded at 2:09 a.m. Eyewitnesses in a car reported seeing her waiting alone near the corner of Stirling Road and Stirling Highway. Sarah never showed up to work after 26 January 1996 and failed to attend outings she had planned with her friends and family in the days following her disappearance.
Sarah is presumed to be a victim of Bradley Robert Edwards, a serial killer who targeted young women leaving nightclubs in the Claremont area from 1996-1997. Edwards was arrested in 2016 and found guilty of the murders of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon, his only two known victims. He was also charged with Sarah's murder. However, as her body has never been discovered, he was found not guilty on that charge. It was, however, noted by the judge at his trial that he was more than likely responsible for Sarah's disappearance.
