Sabrina Oosterbeek (born 15 November 1986) was a woman who disappeared from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 7 March 2017.
Background[]
After several traumatic events, Sabrina was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder as a child. She continuously experienced trouble in school and in dealing with her peers, though this improved when she started special education. After primary school, Sabrina began to smoke weed, which quickly escalated into using hard drugs.
Case[]
Sabrina was last seen leaving her home in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, The Netherlands, on the night of 7 March 2017. She was caught on surveillance camera in the elevator of her flat at 2:45 A.M., after which she left on her bicycle. According to Sabrina's boyfriend, she was going to an appointment to sell her bike. Between 2.00 and 4.00 A.M., Sabrina called some people with her cell phone, including some who were well-known by police. However, neither her cell phone, debit card, or ID card has been used since.
In 2017, Sjonny W., a 44-year-old drug dealer and alleged serial killer from Amsterdam, was arrested for his involvement in Sabrina's disappearance. Sabrina is believed to have visited him the night she went missing. While Sjonny admitted to having sex with Sabrina that night, he denied any involvement in her disappearance. Sjonny was subsequently sentenced to 14 years in prison for the murder of the Romanian Mirela Mos. However, he was acquitted of the murder and disappearance of Sabrina and the death of Monique Roossien. Sjonny has been linked to the disappearance of Stefanie Blijd, a drug addict who went missing in 2011, as well.
Police believe Sabrina is no longer alive.
