Oded Gordon was a man who vanished in 1989.

Case[]

Oded disappeared from Lyris Foundation Plowshare Farm, a farm for autistic and mentally disabled young adults, in Greenville, New Hampshire, on May 12, 1989. He had been living at the farm for six weeks at the time of his disappearance and was reportedly doing well there.

Oded was working on the farm when he vanished but was annoyed by flies, according to his caregivers, and left the garden. They assumed he would sit in the car but later discovered this was not the case. Oded did not have a coat, money or identification with him. He has not been heard from since his disappearance.

Dogs tracked Oded's scent for three miles along Route 31 before suddenly losing it. As a result, authorities believe that he may have taken a lift from a passing motorist. A man also later came forward claiming to have picked Oded up and was able to identify a photograph of him positively. The man stated he dropped Oded off at a donut shop in Fitchburg.

There have been many possible sightings of him since his disappearance, but none have been confirmed. Several of these were in New York State, where Oded was originally from.

Oded's mother says he was an extremely fearful individual who preferred to be around people much older than he was. Because Oded is autistic, he is considered to be unable to care for himself, although he is described as a gentle person and not a danger to others.
