Nihar Mehta was a young adult who disappeared from Orange, California, on June 3, 2023.
In May 2025, a man named Manuel Chavez Zamudio, who was Mehta's business associate, was named as a person of interest in Mehta's case. Zamudio has not been located.
Case[]
Mehta was last observed at approximately 3 AM on June 3, 2023, through surveillance footage captured at 1440 West Taft Avenue in Orange, California. He appeared to be in the company of another individual who later claimed to have left Mehta at a Walmart parking lot in Covina between 1 AM and 4 AM. According to this account, Mehta was allegedly confronted by a group of Hispanic males and placed in a potentially dangerous situation. However, these claims remain unverified, and the individual who provided this information is currently unaccounted for.
Mehta's vehicle was located on June 23, 2023, in an abandoned parking area several kilometers from the warehouse where he was last seen. Surveillance footage from June 12 shows an unidentified Caucasian male, believed to be in his twenties, driving the vehicle and abandoning it with the window open and the keys left inside. Authorities have deemed these circumstances suspicious and are actively investigating the case as a possible instance of foul play.
