Amanda Jane "Milly" Dowler was a girl who disappeared in 2002. She was later determined to be a victim of Levi Bellfield.

Milly was last seen taking the train home from school on 21 March 2002. She got off the train before her usual stop to grab food at the station with a friend. After leaving the station alone at 4 PM, she called her father to let him know she would be late getting home, but was never seen again.
Her case attracted significant attention from the British media, though it was believed she left voluntarily. In September, her decomposed body was recovered from a wooded area.
In 2011, Levi Bellfield was convicted of her murder. He'd previously killed two young women. Bellfield claimed he sexually abused her in his home for about 24 hours before killing her.
