Marta Szczytowska (30 September 1982) went missing along with her friend Anna Krupa after a party in Wolomin, Poland, on 6 August 2000.
Case[]
On the day of their disappearance, the two girls were driven by their father to a church where a mass was being held. He was going to pick them up again at 10 pm. Marta's boyfriend also came to the mass and drove the girls to a party. Since the evening did not go according to Anna's and Marta's expectations (among other things, much alcohol was involved), several male partygoers were supposed to drive the two to the train station. From there, they wanted to return to the town where their father would pick them up. However, Anna and Marta never arrived. Their cell phones were found to be switched off. The following morning, the family filed a missing person's report.
During questioning, the boys stated that they had driven the two to the train station and that the girls had gotten into a car with three strange men. These statements could never be verified.
Investigators believe that Marta and Anna have died. The fact that both were ill and reliant on medication further suggests an involuntary disappearance.
