Maribel Oquendo-Carrero was a girl who went missing from Homestead, Florida in 1982. Her latest age progression depicts her at 47. There is a reward of up to $10,000 for information in her case. She sometimes used the nickname "Marilyn".
Case[]
On December 6, 1982, Maribel left her home to walk to the corner store. She is reported to have arrived at the store and the clerk saw her get into a car after she left.
Maribel may have been abducted by her non-custodial father, Emiliano Oquendo. Emiliano heavily used drugs and had a history of violence against Maribel’s mother, Ana Maria Hernandez. A few weeks after Maribel disappeared, Emiliano reportedly told Hernandez “If you want to see your daughter again, you come live with me.”
Emiliano, who now has dementia and lives in a nursing home, has never been charged in relation to Maribel’s disappearance. He has refused to say if he has knowledge of her whereabouts.
