Lutricia Ann Smith Thompson was a young woman who disappeared from Pascagoula, Mississippi in September 1988. She gave birth to a child on August 11. She was last seen leaving her home five to six weeks later to see some friends; it is unknown if she saw her friends that day. Her disappearance was not investigated at the time.
In December 2018, Lutricia's family reported her missing after serial killer Samuel Little started making confessions the month before. Between 1970 and 2005, Little confessed to killing 93 women in 19 states. He was convicted of eight murders in three states and was linked to up to 61 murders and disappearances. The investigation into Little's crimes is ongoing despite his death on December 30, 2020.
Little was known to stay in Pascagoula from time to time and has even confessed to killing two women in Pascagoula: Clara Birdlong in 1977 and Mindy LaPree in 1982. Interestingly, he was charged with LaPree's murder at the time, but a grand jury declined to indict him. Despite having one unmatched confession in Mississippi, there is no confirmation that Little murdered Lutricia.
Lutricia's case is under investigation by the Pascagoula Police Department. It is unknown if any of her fingerprints, dental records, or DNA are available for comparison.
