Lori Dea Julian was a woman who disappeared from Scottsdale, Arizona on July 16, 1991. Foul play is suspected in her case.
Early Life[]
Lori Julian was a divorced mother with two daughters who were in the custody of their father. She worked as a waitress and bartender and was known to hitchhike alone, especially from truck stops, and travelled across the country. She always contacted her daughters at holidays and on their birthdays. She gave birth to her son a few months before her disappearance, but he passed away just days after his birth. After his death, Julian said she wanted to turn her life around. She planned to move to a friend's residence and go in to rehabilitation for substance abuse and alcohol dependency, but she disappeared before doing either.
Disappearance[]
Lori Julian was last seen at Scottsdale, Arizona on July 16, 1991. It' not clear what she was doing; she was either at the 7-11 located at Granite Reef and McDowell Roads in Scottsdale, discussing an accident settlement at her lawyer's office, or leaving a bar. She was known to drop out of sight for a few weeks at a time, but she was reported missing after failing to in her touch on her older daughter's twelfth birthday on July 30.
In 2003, the Scottsdale Police Department reopened Julian's case.
