Keisuke Christian Nakata Collins was a young boy who was abducted by his mother, Reiko Greenberg-Collins, and taken to Japan in 2003.
Background[]
Keisuke was born on March 3, 2003 to parents Reiko Nakata Greenberg-Collins and Randy Collins. According to Randy, Reiko was incredibly controlling and possessive as her children. He said she would share a bed with Keisuke, breast fed him until he was four years old and restricted his contact with his father. Reiko had a daughter from a previous marriage and Randy also claimed that she had falsely accused the girls father of sexual abuse.
On June 13, 2008 the court ordered Reiko to surrender Keisuke's Japanese and American passports. Keisuke last saw his father two days later on June 15, 2008.
Case[]
Keisuke was last seen in Santa Ana, California on June 16, 2008. His mother took Keisuke and his half-sister and flew to Japan were her parents lived. At the time neither of Keisuke's parents were allowed to take him out of Orange County Reiko also did not have custody of him at the time of the abduction.
A warrant was issued to Reiko for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on September 15, 2008, however, the Japanese government does not interfere in international custody battles involving their own citizens. Keisuke's case remains unsolved.
