Karsten Manczak was a man who went missing from Liebenburg, Germany on 13 April, 2021.
Case[]
Karsten left his house between 5:00 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. and has not been seen since.

Shortly after his disappearance, there were growing indications that Karsten had been the victim of a violent crime. Traces indicated that there had been an incident in the garden area of his property in which Karsten had been injured.
Three days later, on 16 April 2021, the car that had disappeared with Karsten, a blue VW Caddy, was found at the fairgrounds in Hanover. Large amounts of blood that could be attributed to Karsten were also found.
Recent developments[]
In November 2021, the trial against a close friend of Karsten began. He is accused of luring Karsten out of the house and stabbing him or beating him. As Karsten was taking heart medication that thinned his blood, it is believed Karsten began to bleed profusely. The suspect then allegedly loaded Karsten into his VW Caddy and took him to an unknown location. The motive for the murder was the friend had an affair with Karsten's wife since 2016, and investigators concluded that he was 'getting Karsten out of the way' so that he could have an official relationship with her.
On 1 June 2022, the suspect was sentenced to life imprisonment. Karsten is still missing.
