Joseph Laurence Halpern was a young adult who disappeared from Colorado in 1933. He may use the alias Louis Hollenbuck.
Case[]
Joseph was last seen near Taylor Peak in The Rocky Mountain National Park, where he had been camping with a friend. When he had decided to hike up Taylor Peak alone, bringing an army knapsack with him.
After Joseph failed to return from his hike, his friend notified authorities and a search began, however, that while slowed because of several snow-storms that occurred in the days following, was extensive and concluded without finding any sign of Joseph.
Authorities are no longer investigating Joseph's disappearance due to the amount of time that has passed. However, they have taken DNA from his relatives to identify his body if it is ever located.
