Jessica Ann Kinsey was a teenage girl who disappeared in strange circumstances in 1995.
Case[]
On December 26, Jessica was picked up from her friend's house by Jimmy Hopkins, who was 23 years old. Jimmy was the son of one of Jessica's mom's friends.
Jimmy and Jessica got into the car of a friend of his named Mark Henderson. Jimmy told Mark that he had got Jessica pregnant and that they were going to leave for New York together. According to Mark, Jessica was silent throughout and had her head down. Investigators have found no indication that Jimmy and Jessica were in a relationship prior to her going missing.
The three traveled to a motel in Cloverdale, Indiana, where Jimmy and Jessica checked into a room together. Mark booked the room next to theirs and reported hearing violent noises coming from their room at night. The next morning, they had gone, and Mark's car was also missing. Mark's car was later found abandoned in Compton, California. Witnesses in Compton reported they had seen Jessica and Jimmy together.
Jimmy returned alone to Missouri months later. He told police that Jessica had left with a man named Capone. However, he reportedly told friends that he killed Jessica. In 2008, Hopkins killed his wife and then himself. He was never charged in the case, and her disappearance remains unsolved.
