Jean Marie "Jeanie" Schoen was a girl who was last seen in Jacksonville, Florida on July 21, 1974.
Case[]
On July 21, 1974, Jeanie left her grandmother's home and walked to the store. She bought cigarettes for her uncle but forget them when she left and had to go back to get them. After picking up the cigarettes, she went to an arcade to play pinball. When she got there, the arcade was closed but witnesses stated that a man on a bicycle with "hair like Elvis" dragged Jeanie into a bathroom. When they left, Jeanie was crying but left with him.
Jeanie was the first of numerous girls to disappear in the Jacksonville area. The next girls to go missing were Annette and Mylette Anderson on August 1. After the Anderson sisters, Virginia Helm disappeared on September 27 and Rebecca Greene disappeared on October 12.
Virginia's body was the first to be recovered. Her body was discovered partially clothed in a shallow grave. The cause of death was a shot to the head. Three years later, Rebecca's remains were found washed up on Little Fort George Island.
