Janis Sanders was a woman who is suspected to have been killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1975.
Case[]
Janis was last seen leaving her waitressing job close to midnight. Witnesses reported that her ex-boyfriend, Gerald Libetowski, confronted her in the parking lot and seemed to be getting aggressive with her. Her car was found abandoned outside of a Holiday Inn a month later.
In 1976, Gerald was arrested and charged with Janis' murder and the murder of Janeice Langs, another girlfriend of his who disappeared in 1973. There wasn't enough evidence to convict Gerald of any murder; he died in 2010, but investigators believe he killed Janis and Janeice.
