Janice Marie Hannigan was a teenager who was last seen in Wapato, Washington on December 24, 1971.
Case[]
Janice had been admitted to hospital several days earlier on December 21, for numerous bruises on her head and chest. The cause of her injuries is not stated on the surviving medical records. She was discharged on December 24 after she was ruled to be in satisfactory condition. However, she never arrived home.
Janice may have run away because she was upset by her parents separation. She was a citizen of the Yakama Nation.
