Case[]

Jamalap

Age progressed to 31

Jamal was last seen on April 16, 1990 at his mother's apartment on Clarkson Road in Richmond Virginia. That day Jamal and his eight year old brother, Basil, had been dropped off by their stepmother. Their mother, Tambra Ellis, was tired as she had worked the night shift the day prior and took a nap at 2:30 p.m. as a result. At the time the brothers were playing in the yard.

When Tambra woke up, she was unable to find her sons. She searched for them for around 45 minutes before contacting authorities.

Three days after the brothers were last seen, Basil's body was found in a landfill in Chesterfield County, ten miles from their home. Basil was fully clothed and he had been bound and gagged. He died after being stabbed twice in the back. After his death, Basil's skull had also been fractured. His killer then placed his remains in a plastic bag and is believed to have left him in a dumpster to be taken to the landfill.

Following the discovery of Basil's body, the boy's father, Everett Abdul'Faruq, was detained for three hours by police. Court documents indicate that this was because they suspected Basil may have been injured or killed in his home. His property was searched but no evidence was found to support this theory. Eventually, both of the brother's parents were ruled out as suspects in Basil's murder and Jamal's disappearance.

Jamal has not been seen or heard from since his disappearance. Authorities believe that he could still be alive.
