Ida Dean Anderson was a woman who disappeared from Detroit, Michigan.
Case[]
Anderson was hospitalized with rheumatic fever and ulcers in 1958. Her husband, Kenneth, placed her children in a boarding home due to her illness, and the state of Michigan took custody of her children as a result. She was scheduled to re-receive custody of her children in September but disappeared shortly after. Her children were adopted out to multiple families afterwards.
Her children reunited in 1995 and sought to find their mother with few results. A search through hospital records in Michigan and her native Florida yielded no results for her having spent any time in a hospital.
