Dr. Henry Peter Ackerman was a man who went missing from Tennessee in 1998. While in Memphis, he would meet with his friend Dale Mardis. In 2011, Mardis plead guilty to the murder of Mickey Wright and also confessed to Ackerman's murder. He later pled guilty to Ackerman's murder and was sentenced to life in prison. His case is considered closed, as police do not believe his body is recoverable.
