Heather Bloom was a young woman with Down Syndrome who went missing from California in 2005.
Case[]
Heather had lived with her mother in Brooklyn, New York, up until June 2005 when they both traveled to Berkeley to visit Heather's sister, Shari. In September of 2005, her mother returned back to New York while Bloom continued to stay with Shari.
Heather was not reported missing until 2009, when her mother claimed that she had not heard from her or her sister since 2005. When Shari was located, Heather was not with her, and she refused to discuss her whereabouts with police. Shari later moved to Norway, and Heather remains missing. It is possible that she is still in California and is living with a different caregiver or in a care home.
