Mary "Fran" Hunter was a woman who disappeared in 1996.
Case[]
Fran's husband, Derek, claimed that Fran disappeared during a trip to a shopping mall along with her dog. He said she may have been in the company of an unknown man. Fran was carrying a gun at the time because they had just attended a target shooting event.
The dog was found abandoned at the mall the following day. Derek deteriorated mentally after Fran disappeared and ultimately killed himself in 2003. In his note, he said he still believed Fran died by suicide, although authorities think it's possible he killed her.
