International Missing Persons Wiki

Felix Tschök is an infant who went missing from Dresden, Germany (formerly GDR) on December 28, 1984. It is believed that Felix was kidnapped and is now in Russia.

Case[]

On the day of his disappearance, Felix's parents were in the center of Dresden to do some shopping. All the places in the childcare center there were occupied, so the parents left Felix sleeping in his stroller at a side entrance next to many other strollers - this was quite normal and not at all unusual at the time in the GDR.

When the parents returned about 30 minutes later, Felix had disappeared from the stroller. He has been considered missing ever since.

On January 6, 1985, a boy was found in a hallway in Dresden. After thorough examinations, it was determined that the foundling was about 12 months old and had undergone intensive medical treatment. Shortly thereafter, investigators assume that the missing Felix was 'exchanged' for the found, sick child and subsequently absconded to the USSR.

Since 2015, there has been no active search for Felix, as the crime is considered time-barred in Germany.
