Christopher Enoch Abeyta was a baby who was abducted in 1986.

Case[]

Christopher vanished from his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the early morning hours of July 15, 1986. He was put to sleep at around midnight, but his parents discovered his crib was empty the next morning. Police were notified at 6:30 AM and arrived on the scene. They found the basement window was open and the garage door opener was missing. There were no signs of forced entry, but the front door had been left unlocked the previous night. Christopher hasn't been seen or heard from since his disappearance.

At the time of Christopher's disappearance, his parents were in the process of reconciling after a separation. The night Christopher vanished was also the first night his father had spent at home for some time. Authorities haven't cleared Christopher's parents of any involvement in his case, but they haven't been charged in relation to it either. Christopher's mother failed two polygraph tests but has stated she believes this was due to tranquilliser withdrawal.

Christopher's family believe he is still alive but doesn't know his true identity. On a website they run for him, they state they believe he is most likely in New Mexico or Texas. His sister thinks a woman called Emma Bradshaw was the one to abduct Christopher. She had previously had an affair with their father and had a history of breaking and entering. At some point after Christopher's disappearance, the Colorado Springs Police Department destroyed most of the evidence in his case. His family have accused them of incompetence in their investigation.
