Clarissa Ann "Carrie" Culberson was a 22-year-old woman who disappeared in 1996. Her boyfriend, Vincent Doan, was found guilty of murdering her and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Case[]
Carrie was last seen at 11:30 p.m. when she was dropped off at her home after attending a volleyball game with two of her friends. One of her neighbors said that she left the house in her red 1989 Honda CRX a few minutes after coming home and she has not been seen since.
Her boyfriend, Vincent Doan, was physically abusive towards her. Prior to Carrie's disappearance, she sustained a head injury after Doan threw a space heater at her which required five staples to close the injury. She had assault charges pending against him at the time of her disappearance.
Doan was charged and tried for Carrie's murder. Although he maintained his innocence, he was found guilty on the charges of aggravated murder and kidnapping. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering Carrie and 9 years for kidnapping her. Carrie's remains have yet to be located.
