Carolyn Maryann Bealer was a woman who disappeared from Garden Grove in 1979. She is presumed dead.
Case[]
After her disappearance, Bealer's car was found abandoned on the Garden Grove Freeway with its lights flashing. She called her brother, Larry Fox, later that day to say she'd been kidnapped and was being held for a $100,000 ransom. She was never heard from again.
Larry Donald Smith was convicted of her abduction and murder, and it is believed that he dumped her remains in the Pacific Ocean.
