Carol Jeanne Lubahn was a young woman who went missing in 1981. Michael Clark Lubahn was convicted of her murder in 2012, but her body has never been found.
Background[]
Carol married Michael Clark Lubahn in 1972 after dating since high school. Together, they had two children. In 1981, she was studying architecture at El Camino College.
Disappearance[]
Michael stated that Carol walked out one night and never returned. Her car was found abandoned near a restaurant in Redondo Beach. He began dating another woman eight months after Carol disappeared, divorced Carol in 1984 while she was still missing, and subsequently married the new woman.
In 2011, Michael was charged with her murder. Initially, he denied the accusation but later admitted to killing her. He never disclosed what he did with the body.
