Carmen Maria Burhans Garcia was a woman who disappeared alongside her husband and daughter in 1982 under suspicious circumstances.

On the morning of March 15, Carmen, Diego and Barbara drove away in their brown 1977 Toyota Corolla. They took nothing with them; they left behind luggage, which included clothes. They also left behind dog food in the refrigerator, and the family dog.
On April 25, their car was found abandoned in a snowbank down a gorge in the San Gabriel Mountains. It was buried in five feet of snow and the top was crushed in. Foul play is suspected.
