Blake Wade Pursley was a teenage boy who vanished from the Cedu School in 1994. Two other boys, John Inman and Daniel Yuen, also went missing from the school in 1993 and 2004 respectively.
Background[]
Blake was born in 1979. He fell into a vat used to dip cattle with scabies at three years old. He needed a tracheotomy to restart his breathing and the wound became infected and destroyed his airways. Complications caused Blake to have a number of disabilities.
Blake is described as intelligent and empathetic but quiet.
Case[]
Blake was last seen at the Cedu School in Running Springs California on June 26, 1994. The Cedu school was a special needs boarding school that Blake was living at the school at the time of his disappearance. He had only been there since June, 1, 1994 and he had told his mother that he was homesick and that he wanted to leave the school.
Blake was last seen at 8:00 p.m. as he walked into a barn on the property to check on the animals in it. A staff member saw a light go on in the barn not long after this. It was discovered that Blake was missing when he did not return to his dormitory at 10:00 p.m.
There were numerous sightings of Blake in California and Utah in 1994 and 1995 but none of them have been confirmed. The Cedu school staff believe that he had run away from the school. His family believe that he was abducted or lured off the grounds though. It is also worth noting that two other students disappeared from the Cedu school in 1993 and 2004.
