"Baby Kang" was the nickname given to an infant who was mothered by a Mrs Kang who disappeared from Daecheon, South Korea. Her real name has not been disclosed and no pictures of her exist.
She is suspected to be the victim of a serial killer, as from 1991 to 1992, four infants were abducted from their parent's homes and later discarded near the banks of a river by the bridge where they'd die after exposure or blunt force trauma from being dropped. Baby Kang would be abducted on September 8, 1992, and despite a massive search by the residents and police, she would never be found. Mrs Kang was described as being grief-stricken for the rest of her life.
Baby Kang is theorized to be the last victim of the killer, although the police consider a five-year-old girl who had been abducted and murdered with her liver removed to be connected. The killer and serial kidnapper have never been apprehended and the statute of limitations expired in August 2009.
