Audrey Lyn Nerenberg was a young woman who went missing in 1977 under suspicious circumstances. There are multiple suspects in her case. It is also possible that she may currently reside unidentified in a mental institution. Her latest age progression depicts her at 53.
Case[]
Audrey was last seen leaving her family's home to purchase cigarettes two blocks away, but she never returned home. She had been hospitalized for brief periods of time from 1974 to 1977 due to hebephrenic schizophrenia. She did not carry any ID or medication with her on the day she disappeared.
At the time of her disappearance, she was an outpatient at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in Brooklyn, New York. She liked shopping at Kings Plaza, and although she had gotten lost close to home sometimes, she always called her father for help. Audrey may be listed as a "Jane Doe" in a psychiatric facility somewhere, and her case remains unsolved.
