Audrey Chin was a young woman who was last seen in East Norwich, New York, on July 7, 1981.

Background[]

Audrey was described by her sister as being a responsible, kind, and intelligent person. She was a night student at the State University of Farmingdale and planned to enter another University.

The day before her disappearance, Audrey suffered an injury to her finger and fainted as a result. She was admitted to the hospital and was released soon after, with no additional injuries diagnosed.

Case[]

Audrey was last heard from on July 7, 1981, after she left her home to go to the store. She had called a local vet shortly before to schedule an appointment for her kitten but didn't arrive. Her car was later found abandoned.

Audrey's sister stated shortly after Audrey's disappearance that she believed someone abducted Audrey. She additionally theorized that Audrey may have suffered from amnesia as a result of her head injury the day before her disappearance.
