Anthonette Christine Cayedito was a girl who was abducted from her home in New Mexico in 1986. Her body has not been discovered, but she is believed to be deceased.
Case[]
Born to Penny Cayedito of the Navajo nation, Anthonette had two younger sisters Wendy and Sadie with whom she grew up in Gallup, New Mexico. Her mother Penny stated Anthonette received flowers on three occasions from the mother's adult friend Emo (short for Emeliano) usually accompanied by a man called Ronald in the days prior to the disappearance.
On the night of the disappearance, Penny returned from a night drinking at a local bar around midnight and sent the babysitter home. Sadie reported shortly after a man knocked on the door and was ignored. Wendy reported around 3am there was a knock on the door from "Uncle Joe" and Anthonette answered and was bundled into a brown van by two men. Around 3:30am a man called Roger states he knocked on the door but got no answer. Around 6:30am a search party for a lost dog reported Anthonette was with them.
One year after her disappearance, Gallup police department received a phone call from a girl claiming to be Anthonette. She said she was in Albuquerque then was interrupted by someone who said angrily 'Who said you could use the phone?!' then she screamed before the line abruptly cut off.
In 1991 a girl matching her appearance was sighted with an unkempt couple by a waitress at a restaurant in Carson City, Nevada. She kept knocking cutlery to the floor and squeezing the waitresses hand and wrote on a napkin the waitress found later under the table 'help me' and 'call the police'. Penny was interviewed by the FBI in 1994 and died in 1999.
