Ann Elizabeth Caldwell was a young woman who disappeared from Tucson, Arizona after telling her parents she was going to a sorority meeting.

Case[]

Caldwell's parents last saw her on March 13, 1956 when she told them she was going to a sorority meeting. She was seen approximately the next day on the highway with another girl. Ann waved down a truck driver and he took her to a bus station in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Ann bought a bus ticket to El Paso, Texas and arrived there at approximately 7 a.m. on March 16, 1956. In March 1957, Ann's mother pleaded for her to return home on a TV show. Shortly after, Ann was sighted in Plainview, TX and presumed located.

This lead proved to be fruitless and Ann's disappearance was reported on once again in 1959, three years after she disappeared. She was possibly sighted in Tucson, AZ in 1959 by a hotel owner who claimed Ann had checked into her hotel under the alias Doris Castro.

In January 1960, Ann was considered to be a possible identity for human remains found in New Mexico on Thanksgiving 1959. The remains were later identified as belonging to Yolanda Gomez, who was last seen in Texas in June 1959.
