Anita Mary Luchessa was a young woman who disappeared with her friend, Mary Ann Pesce, from Berkeley, California on May 7, 1972. Both were victims of serial killer Ed Kemper; Luchessa’s remains have never been recovered.

Case[]

Serial killer Ed Kemper confessed to their murders and claims he picked up the pair who were hitchhiking from Fresno State University and murdered and sexually assaulted them. He dismembered them and abandoned their remains near Loma Prieta Mountain.

In August 1972, Mary Ann's skull was found in a wooded area on Loma Prieta Mountain; however, Anita's remains were not found, nor were the rest of Mary Ann's remains.
