Natasha "Alex" Alexandra Augusta Carter (born December 22, 1989) was a girl who went missing on August 8, 2000 with her mother, Susan Carter.
Their remains were recovered in April 2024 following a deathbed confession from Alex's stepfather, Larry Webb.
Case[]
Carter was last seen in Beckley, West Virginia, on August 8, 2000, with her mother. It was initially believed she had been the victim of a family abduction; investigators have since changed their views on the case.
On October 24, 2023, Alex’s stepfather, Larry Webb, was indicted for first-degree murder in her case. In April 2024, their remains were found at his home on the same day he died while awaiting trial.
